Oil & Fuel Best fuel for my Mahindra?

I second and third the need for fresh fuel. If you are a partime tractor user- get the diesel from the high volume diesel station that one fella mentioned. If you are in cold climate use the mixture betwen no 1 and no 2. I am told that no 1 is kerosene. Lower freezing point than diesel. I have not used additives yet- but I would welcome some low cost additives that insure reliability of the fuel and mitigate the consequences of getting some bad fuel - please post what you learn.

Interesting discussion! I have two questions:

1) If you are using nothing but fresh, automotive-grade diesel fuel, is it still recommended that you use additives? I thought that such fuel was already pretty much loaded up with additives! So why add more?

2) To you gentlemen who are buying off-road in bulk: How big of a tank do you have and how much do you need to buy at one time to make it worthwhile? Roughly what kinds of savings are you seeing?
