My big discover was a cheap air grease gun from Norther Tool

I made a similar discovery a while back but my BIG discovery was replacing the original tip with a good one from TSC. Now it stays on the fittings /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well I talked to a guy on another forum and He recommened Shaeffer 238. I have used their oil and its real good stuff. Its an aluminum based moly fortified super tacky grease, and he says it doesnt "melt down" like most greases. I'm going to give it a try. I love their diesel oil. Its whats in the tractor right now. Schaeffer Supreme 7000 synthetic blend.

I have never used Schaeffer products but have talked to many that have, all had positive experiences.I do believe that the aluminum complex grease with moly is the best for backhoe bushings. The amount of time before you get that loose feeling after greasing seems to be quite a bit longer than with other greases. As I had said before the so called best[most expensive] is not always the best for your application. The trick is to know what you need. Remember to do a update on this thread and let us all know your results.
