In the grease world, the messier the better. The better adhesive and cohesive properties it has the more likely it is to stay put in the lubricated part and resist being forced out. A good grease should be impossible to wipe off of your fingers leaving a film no matter how much you try to wipe it off and should only come off with soap and water.

Soap dont cut it...only creme hand cleaner. Soap doesnt want to get it out of a "white T shirt " either......when I "wipe" a zerk bending over the loader frame to get to the one WAAAYYYY over there
