Best Ice Chest/Cooler?

I just used some of my Bass Pro points to buy a 38 qt 5 day Coleman.
I love free stuff, plus it was on sale!

I am going camping next week, reviews to follow.

I think Coleman has always been an industry leader, and I've also had good luck in the past with Igloo. But I currently own 3 different sizes and types; all made by Rubbermaid and no complaints about any of them. The smallest one is at least 15 years old and is still the most used; has a water bottle that I just keep in the freezer all the time and which fastens into the lid, so I've got the ice and if or when it starts to melt, I have cold drinking water.

for some reason igloo seems more popular around here, especially in the boating community.

I have the coleman extreme 5 or 7 day cooler. The silvery blue one I use for big trips/vacations/camping. It is far superior to my walmart no-name model that now is a backup for fish or whatever.

Rather than add ice once per day in the 90-100 degree temps of eastern WA, we are down to every second or third day with frequent openings of the cooler to seek adult beverages appropriate for 90-100 degree days "camping" with the RVs.

When I go working with the tractor I have one of the 6-pack size coolers of generic descent that is basicly a lunchbox that keeps things cold until lunchtime and cool the rest of the day.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I looked over the coolers posted up with links. Anyhow, I ended up buying a 125qt. Moeller Ice Station Zero down at the local hunting/fishing headquarters. It's everything I wanted in a cooler, rope handles, keeps ice for several days, large, and well built. Also, the polyethylene inside won't hold fish smell, that's a plus!

What was a YN doing up on the roof ? Unless it was steel beach and in that case, you must have been splicing the main brace...which in that case, it sucked to be you . I know what it takes to splice the main brace! Got to splice 2 times on cruise back in 1988.

Visit this site. I originally bought one for my boat. I liked it so much that I bought a second one that I can take anywhere. They are compressor units so they will take the temperature (number four setting) to the perfect level (frosty).
