Best ice cream you ever had?

About four years ago my auto club (Pace Miata) and I were touring in New Hampshire for a week. On one of our rides I picked up the mike and announced 'Hey, we just past the Ben and Jerry factory!'. All plans were dropped and we U-turned into it.
We had a factory tour and gorged ourselves. At the end of the day Jerry - yes that one - came to sit with us. Now that was fun.

In the Fall of '91, we had just bought a 40' motorhome and took my wife's parents from the southern end of West Virginia up into New England for a few days and drove by the Ben & Jerry's factory but didn't stop. I've always regretting not stopping there.

While I am not a big "ice cream guy" (don't get me wrong, I love my sweets - a little too much, sometimes...) I do love a real chocolate malt... with some salty french fries! While growing up in the Midwest, we used to stop by the Oberweis Dairy ice cream shop and while everyone else enjoyed the sundaes, cones, etc. I was blissfully happy with my chocolate malt and fries! :licking:

I should have mentioned when I started this thread, that about the mid-90's the Bexley's brand ice cream I raved about disappeared from the stores, I always thought they were a small business that got swallowed up by a bigger one. Did a Google search 10 years ago and found no information then, as well as little now. DARN IT.

We live close to Brenham, Texas which is where Blue Bell is made. Their ice cream is just so good. And since I'm praising Texas products, have you guys ever had a Shiner beer made in Shiner, Texas?
Texas, I love living here...now only if it would rain.

I'd had Shiner beer in the past, although it had been awhile. But today we went to Germanfest in Muenster, TX, and I had a Shiner Original. It's a good beer.

Best is the bowl I had yesterday and the bowl I'll have today. Costco sells premium that is very good, high in butter fat.
