Best Inexpensive Grease Gun

The John deere grease gun (#TY26517) I bought when I bought my 5075E has been excellent. I have several other grease guns that do the job, but none of them are as nice as the JD one I bought to use Polyurethane grease in. BTW people try to sell this grease gun online for almost $40. It was like $24 or somewhere in that range at my local JD dealer. Also most of the prices for the JD Polyurethane grease are about doubled online compared to what my JD dealer sells it for.

I found a seezed up lever action grease gun in a huyndai loader about 10yrs ago. Its been a great old girl. I do have a lincoln too.
Yes you read that right. A seezed up grease gun....just imagine what the loader looked like.

I bought this Lincoln and it works very well. I am not a fan of the air power or battery grease guns. I only use it once a month or so, maybe if I did it more I would change my mind.

I also (due to feedback from here) bought the Lock-n-lube which is fantastic!

I've got two 'hand grip' style. The first one I bought from my local auto parts shop; it works fine (after figuring out the knurled adjustment tip*... thanks TBN!) but the JD grease cartridges didn't fit. And those cartridges are very convenient.

So I bought a JD branded one that did fit the cartridges.

I've never had a problem with squeezing the grease.

* don't fully disassemble the knurled tip to 'see how it works' as the spring inside will shoot across the workshop and you'll spend hours looking for it!

Buy one of those magnets on the end of a stick and use it to pick up nails in a construction site. I've found lots of small parts that shot across the shop and were presumed gone forever. Very easy.
