Buying Advice Best Place for BX Tire Chains

/ Best Place for BX Tire Chains #11
I went with the 2 link (closer together cross links) for my JD 2320 and it really improved my plowing ability.. I also bought 'chain tighteners' to keep them tight on the tire and not slop around and hit any hydraulic lines.

DO NOT go with V bar if you have asphalt driveways..

On asphalt, I dont see any scrapes from the chains unless I spin..

Tip - put them on when its 50* and BEFORE it snows.. You may need to make them shorter as well. Those chains are heavy and really cold and would be a beast in the freezing cold. I jack up the tractor, get the chains started around the tire - then get them hooked.. spinning the tire you can get the slack out and keep tightening them up one link at a time till where i want them to be.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have sandbagged chains for now. It seems the snow in N. Illinois is non-existent. The snow we had has since vaporized to reveal green grass. I'm certain winter is over, and will reconsider chains in August when I prepare for next winter. Yeah, right.
Thinking front chains are what I really need. Traction isn't the issue... it's steering with the front FEL blade.
