Rotary Cutter Best Rotary Cutter?

I’m surprised Rhino hasn’t been mentioned. They are in the same class as Bush Hog. Don’t overlook them.

All of these manufacturers have different lines/levels of cutters. Sort of like the old “Good/Better/Best” in the old Sears catalog. Make sure you’re comparing apples to apples.

Thanks. I try to inform others based on 35 years in both construction and farming. Not sitting behind a desk with an engineer degree :laughing: I don’t always make the best decisions, but when I know and believe in something that works well, I try to show newcomers what works!

Each brand makes at least 2 and most make 3 grades of their cutters. Buy one and use it how it was intended and I think you値l be OK.
One brand that was not mentioned is Alamo! I know a fellow who has one and says it痴 the heaviest and best cutter he痴 ever owned. Look them up and you値l find out they own Bush Hog brands!

John Deere, Land Pride, Bush Hog. Any one of those three. Possible Woods if the deal was right.

I always thought Woods was a JD/ Frontier just painted greedy green ! BTW I don't think anyone's mentioned Schulte ?

Certainly not by the guy that thinks Rhino is the heaviest cutter built.

Schulte is a really HD cutter. Only problem - I think their FX107 @ 84" is the smallest they make. I like Brown but service and parts are still in Ozark, AL. My top pick would be Rhino Twister 30 series. There is a local dealer for sales, parts & service.

How about an old Rhino Tw-72? I see one for sale w 100 hrs on it, for 1100. Should I get it?
