Best suspension seat?

Height will probably be an issue with any change to a suspension seat unless your stock seat seems low. The distance needed for the motion has to come from somewhere. Are you able/willing to change the area of the tractor where the seat mounts to allow a suspension seat to be mounted lower?

I'm thinking a bigger tractor may be waiting for you to sit on it while searching for that perfect seat and just fall in love all over again.

I really like the size of the L3400 for mowing and blowing. Much bigger would be a pain too.

I put some blocks on the seat and 5" is OK but 10" is too high. I can't get much lower because the 3PH flow control is under there.

I can live with about 5" of lift. The DR seat looks like it may be about that. I didn't get time to call today. Customers are in again tomorrow so it will be another busy one.

DW bought me a gel seat cushion. Its about 1 & 1/2 inches thick, and makes a world of difference. I think it cost about $75.
Well worth it. Got rid of the itching caused by the vibration and lets me stay in the saddle for several hours at a stretch without any hip pain.

If you have a tilt up tractor seat, I saw a post here once where someone took a small tire and tube like on a wheel barrow (minus wheel), and wired it under seat. Adjust air pressure in tube for smooth ride according to your weight.

I really liked the Grammer mechanical suspension seat that came on my Ford 4630. When the vinyl rotted off it, I went with a Grammer Forklift seat which has a lower profile, cloth instead of vinyl, and lots more angle/lumbar adjustments. Very comfortable seat but I gave up some suspension travel which means I have to tinker with the adjustment more often. I strongly suggest cloth over vinyl, no more "soggy bottom" and it seems to be holding up very well.
