Best suspension seat?

I have alot of miles on air seats in tractor trailers and there is a BIG difference between a air and spring seat. Air is the way to go. My bottom side gives them a thumbs up.

I have my Kubota dealer working on a quote for an air seat. This weekend I think I'll hit some dealers and try some seats.

I suspected the air seat is the best. Thanks Diesel.

have the air suspension seat on my M 7040. It is made by Grammer a german manufacturer and is very comfortable. Also added a swivel plate to be able to sit sideways when I want to keep an eye on implements. It comes with built in compressor located in the seat base. Think to kubota option was about 500 dollars

A lot of difference. sort of like a lounge chair. Pricey though. The suspension seat on my New Holland TN75D was almost a $600 option.
I didn't get it, but I tried it out. Does your tractor have a cab? I don't think I'd want a suspension seat without one.

My tractor does not have a cab. It is stored inside however and never goes out in rain, just snow, and I wipe it down.

I looked at a suspension seat at my dealer today and it seems almost too big for my L3400. It would be right up against the shift lever and I would have very little room to get to the PTO lever. I'll keep looking for a smaller one.

I'll check out K&M too. I may end up with and air cushion but I'd really like to have the air seat. Either that or I have to get a bigger tractor.

I am looking at their Air Hawk cushion. They list my local JD dealer on their site. I'm going to call them tomorrow. That may be worth trying before I change the seat. The other problem with an air seat is that it wont tilt up and makes it hard for cleaning under there.

How about this?

Wheel chair suppliers have a number of different cushions, foam, gel and air. Might be worth a try.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm still gathering data. K&M offers a smaller suspension unit but it would raise my seat by 10 inches. I think that is too high.

I'm going to call DR and see if I can get a drawing of their unit. The picture looks as though it is not too high.
