I am always wondering what is the best grease. I have always used Mystic JT-6. TSC has their Traveller Preminum Truck & Tractor Grease on sale and at a good price and I am tempted to change.

I use it mainly to grease on my hay equipment like knotters and pto shafts. I also use it to pack the bearings on my wagons.

If it's not broke why fix it? The Mystic JT-6 is a great grease, grease is the lifeblood of hay equipment. Saving a dollar on grease is not worth a breakdown when hay is on the ground and rain is on the way. scrapirinford

I use a lot of grease and have been running the WalMart grease in all non bearing applications. I run the Pennzoil Green Trailer Bearing Grease in all bearing applications. I probably use 50 tubes a year and have never had a grease related failure.

I don't get it?? I got a bucket from some stuff at an auction, tried it and please tell me how you get it in the grease gun? I used a paint stick and kept stuffing it in there and darn I finally put the lid on it.

I believe that it unless you have the bucket pump that pressurizes it to the gun through a zerk.

I got my first boat around 1993 and used marine grease with it. It has properties for the severe conditions found in water, salt water, etc. After awhile, having two different kinds of grease just became awkward. Now, I just use marine grease on everything. Axles, tie rods ends, bearing buddies, you name it. Simplified my life.

I like 880 Crown & Chassis grease from TRC for general greasing and have also used it in wheel bearing. It's the best value for dollar I have found so far.

I use the cheap stuff from TSC{1.50 a tubeI believe}, use it on a dozer, miniexcavator, tractor, trailers, and anything else that I have. Never had a problem, I don't worry so much about name brand as much as I do about keeping up with maintanence. Better to keep it greased then feel it's probably greased.

Like you I use a lot of grease with my hay equipment. I didn't like how the cheap grease would run all over the box (the box was always wet with oil). So I went to all New Holland brand grease. It is a good grease and if you buy it by the case it isn't too bad price wise. It holds up good also and you won't have to worry about buying grease for a while.
