NWF,
Its a land pride PS1572, its 8.5' wide. Its basically an overseeder with a cultipacker on the back. This one has 3 boxes for different types of seeds. I have 5 acres to do, and we plan on using it for planting different flowers/grasses in wildlife conservation areas as well.

Jbbies,

I am primarily accustomed to working with drill type units versus the over seeder equipment you will be working with.

Looked at both their drill units and the over seeders and it appears they are very well made and should provide many years of service. My old Massey Harris drill has had a long and useful life and in comparing the construction it appears the Land Pride equipment is probably superior, being more heavy duty and has the advantage of time to learn how to make them better.

Of course the real test comes when you put the equipment to work in the field and find out how well it performs and Holds up over the long hall.

When my old Massey needs to be replaced it will need to be a drill rather than an over seeder. This was my first good look at an over seeder as such and it was interesting to note that we accomplish pretty much the same thing by raising up the colter's and pulling a light drag and corrugated roller behind the drill to cover the seed and pack the seed bed.

An interesting learning experience.
