I was gonna make some wise crack about using Glenn Beck's books, but that crazy Pastor in Florida trumps me big time. Ask him what he uses!

I was gonna make some wise crack about using Glenn Beck's books, !

As much as Washington would like to do that like to do that with every one of his books, luckily they can't do that in this country, yet! Of course if they read it first, they might learn something!

Out here in the West we use a mixture of 2/3 diesel & 1/3 gas to fuel our drip torches on wildland fires (I'm a firefighter). It makes for a controllable fire that sticks to the material that you want to burn and does not create the dangerous explosion that using 100% gasoline will do. Of course, we use a special container that is ignited on the "wick" end and we walk along "dripping fire" as we go. Sounds crazy, but it works. But then, we are usually running into situations that a sane person would be running away from. Been doing the crazy job full-time for 35 years.

After there are no burn days, I start the winter pile, covering part of it to keep the snow off. When a big snow comes with great big flakes I pour used oil generously and light it. I very much enjoy a good fire in the amidst a white out!

No need for petrochemicals. A fire that is big enough to roast marshmallows is big enough to get a burn pile going. A half dozen good sticks and some kindling, along with a match, will get that going.

Most of the time up here we are burning pine needles, limbs of pine trees or brush, and cedar limbs. Think dry Christmas tree on fire  it doesn't take much, normally just light a corner of needles, and it goes.

Pine needles ... and dead palm frawns light up fast & burn quickly, too. Guess not everybody has those, though.

Nah....you gotta actually pay for them.
I use "Dreams Of My Father" because all you need do is stand in line with your hand out.
