bontai_Joe, When I first read you post I thought "Not so", but then as the wife and I tried to name the high schoolers still married after 29 years we could only come up with one other couple. My wife has never stood behind me or in front of me. She has always stood by my side. She has always been with me. We always do things together. We make decisions together. And when times are tough, she is in it with me to the end. Nobody should ever underestimate or take for granit their wives.

I am a tigger fan as you all probably can see, but I aways tell her she is my "bestest friend" And I am sure you all have heard, the best thing you can give your kids, is to love your wife.

WELL SAID, HARV !!

My spouse doesn't share my interest in tractors, but she never begrudges me the time or money I devote to my beloved green machine, nor gripe about the hours I fritter away here on TBN.

I've always been proud of revealing to others that I knew my wife for 20 years before our marriage, and that for most of those years she was my best friend. Here we have known each other for 35 years and she is STILL my best friend, and I am even prouder to admit that.

Whatever I devote time or money to. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I recently saw where Billy Graham was quoted as saying he and his wife were "happily incompatible". I don't know whether the quote was correct or not, but figure that pretty well describes us, too. Different backgrounds, different interests, and I figure just about as different as two people could be, but we've just kinda liked each other for 40 years. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Awesome.

My wife did similar. When i first started getting serious about a tractor for farm work, she told me to get something big.. she kept eyeing a ford 8000 down the road. I told here it was too big. Ended up getting a 30hp tractor plus a few antiques to play with. Well.. full circle has come around, and I traded in the few year old 30 hp tractor for somehting close to what she had been looking at.. ( my NH 7610s ). It was another one of those.. "well.. just go look and see what kind of a deal you can get.. "
