Best Work Boots

I vote for Whites boots www.whitesboots.com or Nicks. www.nicksboots.com.

they are both big $$$ outlays but very comfy (once broken in) and they are rebuidable, for several times. When you add up the rebuild cost over the course of 3-4 times and the intial outlay, it works out to be as cheap or cheaper than many of the other brands like Danner, Red Wing etc.

stay away from john deere work boots...the local co-op had lots of them....for a long time, then put them on half price, to clear their stock...i bought a really good looking pair of boots at what i thought was a bargain.....i have soaked them with everything i can find....if there is any moisture on the grass, my feet get soaking wet...i don't think the seam between the sole and the "shoe" are sealed at all, or something...my feet would stay dryer in sneakers...
but they look good, and are great in the dry...

( I bought a pair of Danners (8" rainforest I think) with gortex lining and they're the best boot I've ever bought. They are spendy, but I bought a second pair in the shorter 5" height for the warmer days. The factory is located in Portland Oregon and I've got friends that stop by once in awhile to buy factory seconds if they have any that fit. The seconds are marked way down and my understanding is that they only sell ones with appearance issues. They won't sell a boot with bad stitching or other defects that will affect the life of the boot. They even have a website to purchase boots online. )

I second the above post, I have warn redwing, but Danner is as good as it gets!

DocsKnotInn-

Sorry. I've been kinda busy and haven't had a chance to get back to you. They don't show the 2nds on their website, but that's probably because they are always changing. Here's the website. Danner web page

My Wal-Mart Hermans $60 lasted twice as long as the $125 Redwings I tryed and stayed much dryer while doing it.
I thought Redwing was supposed to be a great work boot, so I tryed a pair (junk).!!

I wear the Vasque hiking boots. When they start to get tired, they become my work boots. Great support and the hiking boots are lighter weight.

Is there a good online resource for Rocky Boots? I mentioned in another post that I wear Vasque hiking boots and turn them into work boots because they offer a lot of support and are lightweight. I've heard good things about the Rocky boots and might give them a try.

I don't know of any internet sales of Rocky boots. I have 2 pairs of Vasque hiking boots. The boots are bullet proof and fit very well.

Have to go with Justins..

Have a pair of Rocky hunting boots, timberland work boots and tried a pair of Justin Workboots with the steel toe and like them so much bought a pair with no steel toes to wear while not working... No matter the brand you can't beat a shoe/boot that works with your feet...
