- John Deere 4200 MFWD HST w/ JD 420 FEL w/ 61" loader bucket & toothbar & JD 37 BH w/ 12" bucket
My little John Deere 4200 MFWD was worth it's weight in gold on my property this weekend. I had no idea how much it could actually do until now. I have to say I was pleasantly suprised and quite impressed. I hauled enough downed trees to make three HUGE burn piles. I even knocked down a couple pretty substantial dead trees and hauled some others out of the brush.
I was out there until after dark both nights and I had a great time. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif I even managed to avoid any severe injuries but still got my share of cuts and scrapes from some of the stuff I drove into and through. There were a couple of scary moments when I thought a log I was lifting was going to roll right over the top of the bucket and down on my hood or me. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif Fortunately, I avoided that experience.
The hardest hit I took was purely the result of a miscalculation on my part. I was yanking a dead tree down and hadn't planned on it popping out of the ground and flying my way so I took a branch across the face I never even saw coming. /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif Still, I had a great time and was glad I was finally able to put my little tractor through its paces and see what it can really do.
