Better tires for Mule 3010 4x4

Here is a pic of my 2002 3020 mule up with 25x11x10 goodyear tracker Ps on it. They scrubbed in the front but I added about an inch of lift up there and also trimmed the fins under the fender and now its ok.

Nice looking machines guys! How's the traction with the more aggressive tires? Did the ride quality go to heck with the lifts?

I am really hoping to get the springs soon. The front spacers shipped Friday and should be here Monday.

Went hunting this weekend and had to leave early (3 AM) as it started raining hard and we were afraid that the truck wouldn't make it out. (It nearly didn't!) The mud is like peanut butter and the ruts are getting to be 6-8" deep with no solid bottom. Not pretty.

If the springs aren't here or aren't scheduled to be here by Thursday, I'll just put the spacers and the (soon to be) longer shackles on and replace the springs when they get here.

If I have any issues, I'll be sure to post back with questions!

The tires do real well. With mine being two wheel drive I need all the traction I can get. Here goes with the pics again.

I like the pop can holder. Is that a factory option or one you did? Can you get a close up picture ?

I know what you mean on traction. Mine's 4wd, but with the rear end locked and in 4wd, it has been stuck in some places it shouldn't have been stuck. Worst thing is how easy it gets high centered when the tires are in truck ruts. It has on a 2000# warn winch, but it's such a pain to winch out, I sure hope the tires do thier stuff!

John_Bud; I have not been stuck since I put the swamplites on my mule. The lift really has a lot to do with that with the extra ground clearance. Another tip on your front shock spacers. Most instructions that come with the spacers are wrong. Now the gold top plates on top of the shocks need to be flipped over from the way they are installed from the factory. From the factory you will see the cupped orientation is facing UP,you want to flip the cupped orientation
DOWN, this way the large gold pieces on top of each shock doesn't rub the round hole in the front chassis. This way your rig wont squeal like crazy ever time the shocks operate.

Problem!!

Installed one of the spacers and could just barely get it back into the holes on top. Put the wheel back on and the back of the tire rubs on the strut and springs. Not just a bit of a kiss, but a RUB.

Guess I'll have to get some wheel spacers!

The cup holders are from walmart. Just hook them over the round tube that runs under the dash. It works real good like this. I also had some old vw retractable seatbelts lying around. Put the mule seat belt onto the vw mechanism and it works great. also fabed up some extra handles and welded them onto the drivers side rollbar. I also included a pic of distance between my tire and the spring.

Wow, your springs are way way way farther from the tires. My tires are 25x11-10's and they are touching the spring mount and the bottom 2 coils.


Ordered spacers, but after ordering I measured the trailer and the space between the rails is only 59.0 inchs. The mule width is 57 inches and the spacers are 1.5 " each. Anyone else see an issue? Looks like the trailer will have to be widened out a touch.
