Just a follow up to my previous post about the broken seat mounting. The dealer ordered replacement parts and is supposed to call me when they are in. They (dealer) said that they would also "reinforce" the mounts so it would not happen again. I'm not so sure that I like the "let's reinforce it idea" on my new tractor. I called NH and explained to them how I felt it is a serious design flaw that could be a safety issue. If the seatbelt is attached to the seat which is mounted poorly, what would happen in a rollover? You'll come off the tractor with the seat attached to your behind. NH said they would look into the situation and call me back.
I strongly urge that you look at your mounts and check for fatigue/failure and if so, contact NH. Maybe we can get them to recall or something, because it's definately NOT SAFE!
Any thoughts?
