If so I will talk to our local welding shop and see what something like that cost.

Think you will have to make your own cylinder modifications. Maybe make a no weld attachment?

Paul and Kathy make several modifications for the BH77. Didn’t see outrigger cylinder rod guards but might find inspiration.

Even my old Ford 4500 BH had outrigger guards as do most commercial machines. Outriggers often get buried grubbing out stumps and attacked by rocks.

Vocational class project for you to learn new skills? Or students to learn real applications of skills. Careful, learning is highly addictive, too much fun and getting banned in some states.

I don't have the equipment to do mods any more and the local school only has 200 students from K-12.
Most of Paul and Kathy's attachments are priced to high for my budget, but they are nice.
I have been thinking about making something out of PVC. First I will look into your idea.

Taking the stabilizer pad off and slipping a piece of PVC pipe on might work. Maybe cut a slot in the bottom of the tubing without removing pad? Less likely to harbor dirt or mice. Have to watch how it clears the lines. Tie to the pad with wire or zip ties. Black corrugated drain line pipe might be tougher and less likely to break on impact. Kinder on hydraulic lines? Comes in 4&6” diameter. Often the KISS option is the best option.

I looked at it yesterday in the snow and my cylinder's don't have the hole in the end.
I will try something before spring. I don't want to break another hose if I can avoid it.
