I have taken on the project to install a Ford 3PH BH, 753. I'm in the process of welding up a subframe and fixing many of the problems. The old girl is pretty beat and I may spend more time and $$ than it's worth! It came with a new-ish Prince 21 gal/min PTO pump and I have bought a new set of valves that have 20 gal/min capacity. It also has a 10 gal tank and was run independant of the tractor's hydro system.

Can I use my tractors hydro system's oil sump and skip the external tank? The tractor is a China made KAMA 454, 45 hp, with a FEL. The pump on the tractor is a bit slow so I woukd like to use the external PTO pump but "share" the hydro fluid. Why have two tanks?

Yeah, you could do that, Paddy. You would need a suction inlet to your
filter that was below the level of the fluid in the tractor's reservoir. The
return is much easier as you can even use a adapter to your tractor's
fluid fill port.
