Hand crank always reminds me of when I was a teenager - My parent's neighbor used to hay our fields using an old New Holland baler with a Wisconsin V4 engine on it. The crank was a big piece of iron with (I think) a wooden spinning handle. I remember watching him crank it over, and when it caught the crank spun off, with him still holding it, and clocked him right in the nose! He’s a tall man, and boy did it lay him out flat - It still hurts just remembering it!
