Hey Greg, mine on my BH-90X Woods are mounted flat......I've haven't changed them yet but I suppose it might help some in dirt.......Is that a 12" bucket you have???

CJ4,

You don't need to remount the pads on a BH90-X. Just flip them over.

Quote "Here's a picture from the NH site that shows them working on dirt and notice the pads."

If you look closely, you can see that the picture was done very nicely by a marketing dept. I don't see any dirt on the back of the bucket. The tires are relatively clean. Even the side of the bucket is clean. I wouldn't be surprised if someone filled the bucket with dirt with a shovel to make the picture look nicer. I have used my backhoe about 15 hours in the past month alone and I can guarantee that mine is very dirty compared to the one in the picture.

NH did nothing wrong in the picture, but it is obviously not a picture of a real worker doing real work. The cameraman and model may have never seen a tractor before.

Why dont you guys have the bigfoot dirt pads. $100 for the set and they are like 14x14 inches with teeth sticking down in the ground. My dealer doesnt sell a Hoe without them.

I have never needed a larger pad in seven years; I guess it comes down to what you are doing with the hoe and conditions associated with the use of the hoe. Personally, I would rather the dealer suggests to me options , rather than tell me " i won't sell a hoe without the larger pads" I use the rubber pads more than the other side of pads.

WEll I guess I should have said he recommends them and of course he would sell a backhoe without them but they are recommended. Much larger footprint on the ground for stabilitly. I guess on super hard ground you can get by without but not in this area and maybe thats why my dealer in this area puts them on.

I agree the BigFoot pads are great if your current set up has you sliding around. Worked for me.

Greg, I'd like to get a bigger bucket.....love my 12" for laying lines but i'm fixing to widen a road and dig new ditches.......Still looking for a good source for good buckets for my backhoe....
