Hey Guys, I had a question about lifting with the BH65 on my B2620. I was trying to pull a small tree root and thought I would just reach over with my BH and see if I could pull it up. However, when I lifted with my dipper stick it would over power my boom and not pull it. I decided to dig it up instead after this, but I was curious if anyone else has come across this. I would have thougth the dipper would just dead head instead of pull the boom down.

Are you saying that it wanted to lift the front of the tractor up?

OK, I understand now after I re-read. Actually I've done a lot of digging in roots lately and I don't think this has happened that I remember. When I hit the relief on whatever cylinder nothing else moves either.

You were at your limit.

Your valve should have a relief, and it was relieving at the weight you were trying to pull. Maybe your hyd pump is not pumping as much as it used to, or the cylinder or valve is bypassing.

Yes, I have had this happen. I was trying to lift my gun safe to rig it into the basement down concrete stairs through the bulkhead. I used my B3030 with BH 75, I rigged the safe just above the COG with a strap and used the dipper to lift it along with some bucket curl, the boom was all the way up, as I took the load, about 750-800 pounds, the boom relaxed so the safe was just about neutral. I was really frustrated. What I ended up doing was laying the safe down on its back and then lifted it at the mid-point and essentially used the BH to lower it down the stairs in a semi-controlled manner. Not bad, got it done all by myself with no damage (not much anyway) and saved a $600 plus moving bill as I recall.
