Backhoe BH75 Backhoe problem on B3030

Just talked to the dealer and he told me he is going to put a new clylinder assemblyon it but did not hear about there being problem and a larger dia coming out. Although they had to get the complete assembly because out of stock on rebuilding, so i guess thats good. So I'm going to check with kubota down the road to see if anything has been extablish on this. Forgot to ask about making sure relief valve was working properly, will have to call him back on that.

I have the 75 on my 2630. I better check with my dealer to see if there is an upgrade before anything happens.

I e-mail the kubota Rep thru there web site yesterday and he called me today to tell me that he called my dealer that had my hoe to make sure he replaced the broken dipper cylinder with the the updated cylinder that has a bigger diameter rod than it was shipped with orginally, so this is less likely for rod to break in half again. So it does look like this is a problem with the BH 75 and the bigger cylinder should make it less likely to happen again. I imagine they are only upgrading broken ones, not sure. I did ask if any of the other cylinders on the hoe where in need of thicker rods if broken and he said no, only the dipper clyinder. I don't want to create painic, because i was probly pushing the hoe to the limit from digging roots, but if anyone else's dipper cylinder rod breaks on the BH 75 I'd make sure i'd mention the update on the clylinder.

It would seem like if it ain't broke it won't get replaced because you busted a dipper cylinder and I bent a curl, so both are suspect to bending or worse.

Bob53, I have a B3030 and a BH75. I used the backhoe for many hours so far and... nothing /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif , no bending at all. I know that some TBNers bent cylinders. What was the backhoe's position when it happened? I wonder if I'm lucky or if I simply don't make that killer move.

When the dipper cylinder broke I was trenching past a tree, It was not even hanging up, so roots where not that big, rod was not fully extended maybe only halfway out. I usually curl the bucket while pulling up with dipper cylinder, seem to get the most power that way. So that may be the killer move. Rod then cracked and just came out the the clylinder. It was pretty warm, i was about 4hrs in to this long trench so as said worse case.
Yes I imagine since its a new hoe, if they get a lot of failures in one picticular cylinder they just replace with bigger cylinder, probly same with the curl cylinder , they are just not going to admit. So in a way I'm glad it broke now rather than 2+yrs down road and not warranty. I Just have to stress the curl cylinder to get it replaced since that seems to be week link too, just kidding. Its machinery and it breaks so I guess it will always be something, hopefully not often though. Love everything about the tractor though, does a lot for its size.

I just picked up my replacement cylinder and it is the same size as the bent one, I was told that only the dipper cylinder has been increased in size.
I had a Bradco 3265 on a B7500 for 2.5 years without any failures and I am not doing anything different with this BH75.
I still have ten months to break or fix this one.
