Well wouldn't you know it. I got my new 3030, front left tire stayed flat and I figured out the tire lip was "eat up" when it was mounted...probably didn't soap it before mounting.

Now...it's been sitting in my heated basement since delivery...a couple of months I guess. I crank it from time to time, but it's been to cold for me to do much work. But...I pulled it out this week, and drove it around a bit and cycled the hydraulics just to keep everything in "check"....but when I went to work with the backhoe, it would not swing to the left. Everything else works control wise. I've not taken it off since delivery, and it's been in aclimate controlled basement ever since. I can swing the BH all the way to the right, and it trys to go left, but I have to have someone push it back to center while I hold the lever to the "left most" position. No leaks or anything.

Does anyone have a similar problem or maybe some thoughts?

Thanks for the help,
Jeff

Told my wife yesterday that I was afraid aliens had abducted you since you had disappeared after receiving your 2 new tractors.:) I don't have a BH so I can't help with that but I'd disconnect all hydraulic connectors and reattach them and ensure a definite click when they reconnect. Sounds hydraulic to me. Sure a BH owner will provide an answer in less than 12 hours. Glad to see they returned you.:)

I know!...what are the chances! Buy 2 tractors, get abducted by aliens, aliens return me, and the backhoe won't work..... what are the chances?!

Would you believe I FINALLY got my flickr account issue resolved just a couple weeks ago! It took them THAT long to fix it! Now I don't know where my thread went so I can post the 3 month old pictures! lol

I hope someone chimes in on the backhoe. Since I've not done anything but wash it since I've owned it, I can't see where too many things could go wrong...but it could be air in that line maybe? Or the switch that directs flow to that cylinder could be bad (if there is a switch). Doesn't seem that something would go wrong while it sits....

I removed FEL on my BX2660 and later reinstalled it. It worked fine for awhile. Then it stopped working in some of it's functions. After 2 days of extreme aggravation of disconnecting and reconnecting the hydraulic lines I finally loosened one of the fittings with a wrench which released the pressure and then the fittings slipped right on and connected with a click. They were connecting but a strong tug would pull them off. Seemed connected but weren't. Some functions of bucket worked but not all. Disconnect all fittings and reconnect. Glad to see they returned you, guess they didn't need/want you since you were crying all the time about how you had just bought 2 new Kubotas and hadn't even got to try them out.:) Oh yah also how your children and wife missed you.

It sounds like a relief valve may be stuck. I replaced one of these myself after having the same problem. Remove the back cover under the controls on the backhoe and by moving the controls figure out which stacks are actuated when you want to move right and left. After cleaning the area swap the relief valves right for left and see if the issue follows the relief valve. They'll be attached by two hex key bolts. Hopefully that does the trick, keep us posted.

Thanks for the advice DDM....I'll give that a try when I have a little time and I'll be glad to report back.

DDM....here is what I did today....

I swapped the lines on the valve in question....on my BH76, it is the last valve on the right as I am working on it from the rear. When I swapped the lines, the BH would swing in the opposite direction just fine. i.e. Hoses in factory position, BH won't swing to left. Hoses swapped, BH WILL swing to the left (control lever pushed in opposite direction in this case) I notice the valve has some bolts and screws for adjustment maybe? Do you or does anyone else know how I might check to see if a valve or piston might be stuck and how I can free it? I'm waiting for Barlow's to call back tomorrow with info. from Kubota Tech as they have never had this happen? Just my luck for buying out of state I guess.

Rod to the far right leads to valve body that controls left to right swing.

This is the top of the valve body in question. What is the top "set" screw? It is on the top and bottom.

Bottom of same valve body.

The two hoses that pass thru the oval hole on the right are the hoses that I switched that control the cylinders for left and right swing.

Closeup of valve in question. How hard is it to replace the entire valve?

sounds like a sticking valve. Have you tried all functions of BH ? up down, extend, retract, stablizers up/down? It seems to me the valve for left is sticking and you need to have warm oil circulating on the BH to free up the sticking valve. It shouldn't be sticking at all, and since it looks spanking brand new, perhaps a warranty work is in order first ? I'd say its better to have the spool replaced now instead of trying to fix it since it sticking now and down the road few years from now it sticks again then what ?

Just to confirm, there are NO quick disconnects on that rig. is that correct?

Don't want to play Mr. Obvious but I check make sure you 3pt lever is all the way down and disconnect then reconnect ALL the quick couplers. Then if you have a extra valve on the tractor make sure its in neutral. I also assume you removed the transport pin? Best of luck and hope its something that simple.
