From the photos, it appears to be a bad weld which caused the breakage. I doubt that you need stronger metal although that would certainly prevent bending but it doesn't look like the metal bent any at all which tells me that the metal arm is plenty strong if properly welded. Lack of penetration is a common issue with MIG or FCAW welds which all manufacturers use. This is going to be an expensive repair due to having to replace the stab cylinder. I don't know what a cylinder costs but my neighbor just paid almost $200 for each dump/curl cylinder repair on his FEL and this was just to install new seals. Kubota might just replace the cylinder rod it the housing isn't damaged which would be a little cheaper than a new cylinder. (maybe /maybe not when cost of labor is figured in).
