When I load my Mahindra 6520 4WD with a Bradco 511 backhoe
onto my 20 foot lowboy gooseneck, the bottom of the swing post hits the ground along with the bottom of the boom. I swing the boom 90 degrees to the right and raise the dipper stick up to clear the top pipe of the trailer. I still leave a little rut, but I make a point to load/unload in the dirt. I then sit the loader bucket over the gooseneck on my spare tire. It makes a great cushion.
The BH bucket hangs an inch past the foldup box frame ramps. Loading/unloading shakes and moves the whole rig so much, it would bend the trailer jack or topple over any jackstands if used.
If your trailer is a gooseneck, you can always raise the pin on the coupler so the rear of the trailer is lower.
