I have been wearing progressives about as long as they have been around. During that time I have driven truck, operated heavy equipment, worked in semi-conductor and aerospace, HVAC and home repair. The latter is about the only area where I have issues; painting clean lines where walls meet ceilings.
Close up is about the same, progressive or lined bifocals, if it calls for some fine detail, I do better with no glasses at all. LOL, I had a quality manager that used to tell people that I could find fly dung in a jar of pepper.
My eyes went bad after a three week bout with measles in around 3rd or 4th grade. My cataracts are not quite to the point where Medicare will cover the surgery. I am hoping when that time comes that I too will only need reading glasses.
