Actually two day shipping is free now, who doesn't have amazon prime? You get free 2-day shipping, tons of free music, and the very binge-worthy show Man in the High Castle. Totally worth $80/yr.
I have had Prime for a few years now... it's not exactly free that's why I said a 'little premium' but I like it. Thinking though that most people don't have Prime.

How did we ever survive without the internet? Now we are bitching because we can't find some obscure thing we want in seconds, price it, see what others are saying about it, and find out if it is available near me, and then shop around never getting up off our butt! Then if we choose, we can have it delivered to our door often in two days if we want to pay a little premium. Dang technology... bring back the Sears Catalogue.

:laughing::laughing::laughing:

OK, I know you were trying to be a bit funny and sarcastic but you actually raised a danged good point. :D:D:D

Dang technology... bring back the Sears Catalogue.

If you think about it, some of the websites we are bitching about are slower to use than the Sears Catalogue. :shocked: The Sears Catalogue was pretty easy to use, had nice descriptions, good photos and a price with similar items put into logical sections that were easy to find. When a website is less efficient to use than a paper catalogue, that is a clue. :laughing::laughing::laughing:

I was on a website the other day and they wanted me to give them my first born mail child to download a catalogue. Lordy knows what they would want me to give them to get a price. How much time did I spend on that website and what is the likely hood of me spending money with them? Answer, very little time and zero chance of me doing business with them.

Later,
Dan

The good thing about the Sears catalogue was when a new one came out you could use the old one in the outhouse. :laughing:

What I DO like about the Lowes site is the inventory function. I can see how many they have of an item and even where in the store to find them. AND it's pretty darned accurate. Unlike TSC and HD who's online inventory is a complete joke.

I've found HD inventory pretty good. TSC has no clue what they have even on the in store computer.

You talk to companies on the phone and they ask if you have been to their site, or try and direct you to it. Basically, I tell them to keep their POS website! Too many have wasted too much of my time. Every site is different, they have stuff you can't get and don't have stuff you can. Who has time for that non sense?

I'm guessing an auto correct, but if not, well done... "first born mail child" :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:

I've had pretty good luck with HD store inventory searching online. For me the HD site is more friendly for some reason.

A few minutes ago I was looking for a chain link fence part. The Lowe's site had one, with all the relevant information except size. I don't imagine they expect to sell many.

Yes, back in the 50's, the catalogue was the family's primary TP source. :thumbsup:
