LOL...if this bit gets you howling how are you going to handle NAIS? :)

Nais reminds me of when Texas went to emission testing of automobiles..and stuck it hard and deep in us! Is NAIS going to be run by the state or private sectors? and my understanding is, USDA will not have direct access to animal movement records.

NAIS is implemented by the state and rules/laws are made by the Fed. So far the Fed has been willing to let each state decide implementation. Once the ball gets rolling you can be certain thatll change! NAIS is grossly intrusive as written. Its about control not public health/safety.

National animal identification system..basically to trace an animal disease to its source..except......

Yes, actually. We were as high as the upper 70's two days last week. Mostly upper 60's and lower 70's this week. Farmers are planting, lawns are growing, trees are leafing out just this week, and winter wheat is about 4-5" tall.

Big Brother has made another inroad into Virginia. When you now take your dog to the vet. you are reported to the local licensing agency, so if your dogs aren't licensed you will receive a bill. i'm not against licensing. but I think this is a breach of client privacy. My vet. feels the same. He is not required to report suspected dog fighters. I guess criminals have more privacy rights than decent people.
"Suspected dog fighters" are just that...suspected. They are not criminals unless convicted. Seems someone interested in personal rights would recognize that.

So "suspected child molesters " shouldn't be reported or investigated? How is someone convicted before they're suspected and investigated?
