Mahindra 4530 w/ 245 FEL
Hi Guys and gal! Sorry I have not been on in a while but my computer died. Anyway just wanted to update everyone on my 4530 I bought from Galen. It has 40 hrs on it. I love this thing!!! It is so strong. I have punched in 3 food plots. Skidded about 100 large maple logs, fixed my driveway, brushhogged a ton and the only problem that I have had is the vent line on the front axle came off at the top somewhere and I can not find out where it is supposed to attach. I am telling all my friends to look hard at Mahindra. So far it has been bullet proof. The only design problem I can see is the two front power steering lines comming out the front of the axle. They could get bent or crushed if you bump into somthing with the loader up. They should have come out the rear of the front axle housing. I am going to pick up a new digital camera this week and will try to post some picks. I love my little dozer eeerrrr tractor.

NY Bowhunter,
Thanks for the update. :) My dealer has been getting a bunch of 5530 and 4530s in stock. I gave them a look over the other day. Nice looking machines.
hugs, Brandi

I agree with you on the placement of the Hyd lines for the steering. I can think of at least five different ways to do that. The other thing that can be a problem if you haven't found out yet is the two grease fittings for the fron axle. I have knocked both of them off at least once.

I just went outside to look at the front axle vent line. It attaches to the axle just left of center on the top. Looks like there might be a nipple, the hose is just clamped to it.

I stopped calling mine a tractor, we just call it Tank now.

Hi Brandi, I saw your movie on Mahindra's web page, very nice. Thanks for the info Civesnedfield I will keep an eye on those greese fittings. Also my vent line is still attached to the fitting on the front axle housing. It just came loose at the top. Right now I just have it routed up and held in place with a zip tie but it is driving me nuts not knowing exactly where it is supposed to be routed. Again thanks for the info.

Mine is routed over to the left of center, then straight up between the FEL frame and the left removable side cover. From there it goes foward into the area in front of the radiator. No zip ties or anything holding it there. The routing kinda stinks, where it goes behind the removable side cover it is over the top of the retaining pin in the front of the cover, and it is a pain in the you know what to get the side cover off. I am currently looking at rerouting to a different location. Hope this helped :)
