No wonder neither the sales people nor I had any idea what you were talking about. I thought PAL was just a good friend.![]()
Bird, I don't try to be smart with a sales person, only when they are pushy

I was in Sears tonight and saw the difference in a plasma and LCD. The salesman didn't point me one way of the other. Said they're all pretty good
Sears has a 2 year no interest deal on TV's over 40" in size. We need a new one as ours is old and won't accept the digital adjustment.
So I'm looking at a Visio 50" and wondered if I should get the extended warranty.
Comments please gents.
Thanks Bob
My mom bought a 32" Visio from Wally world. I have 2 issues with it.
1) The paint has worn off almost all of the remote's buttons.
Really love our Panasonic 50" 720 plasma Viera. Beautiful picture. Reasonable price.

I bought this one. Got a home theather system and extended warranties on all of it for 2k. Not what I wanted to do but couldn't see buying this stuff without some long term insurance.
Now the question is to wall mount or not. I have 2 kids at home.

We got the 52" Visio from Costco about a year ago, and have been pleased with it.
The only problem we have is that the DirecTV remote will not turn the TV off & on, so we have to use the Visio remote for that function.

All you need to do is "Program" the remote. Go to the DirecTV manual, look up "Program Remote", find the code for the the TV set, follow the directions to program the remote.
Right there lies the crux of the problem. There is no code for our TV set.
