Well, like I've mentioned, I won't say that this isn't what he's feeling, but from how he describes it, it just seems more excessive than that. I've never owned a 2wd vehicle in my life and have experience with everything from the original IH Scout to my current F150. And degree of binding varies from vehicle to vehicle. The Scout was terrible, the '76 Jeep Cherokee was terrible, the S-10 Blazer and all three of my Nissans had very little binding. You might hear a little scuff and feel some resistance in the steering wheel, but not much. My F-150 is probably the worst of them all in regard to binding, even in the dirt. So I know what binding feels like, and I've never noticed it at all on my Kubota. Of course, as I said, I've not torture tested it on pavement, but for the sake of 'science', I'll do it tomorrow.
Sevilla, if you only notice this on pavement and never on dirt, then these folks are probably right and you (all of us) just need to avoid using 4wd on pavement. I'll get back to you on Sunday regarding my test.
