The last thing you want is a blower that is narrower than the rear wheels, you'll hate it!
Most Canadian blowers can be maintained with 'off the shelf' components like bearings and chain etc. We just purchased all bearings chain zerks etc to rebuild a 7' Pronovost and the bill was under $100. The paint and sandblasting was another story but compared to new prices a bargain.

For yrs all i had were two wheel drive tractors and blowers, worked fine. Never had chains.. Usually 8 or 9ftr's. Just find one that's rated for your pto hp.
