I have a L1802DT that I am currently building a FEL for.

I intend to run it from the standard engine driven pump that supplies the 3PL.

I am also thinking about adding power steering.

With all this extra stuff to run, I'm wondering if the pump will have the volume to cope.

So, Is it possible to change the factory fitted pump to a bigger unit?

I know this 3 cylinder diesel engine is used on lots of different model tractors, so I'm wondering if a bigger pump could be just bolted in place of the original?

Any advice apperciated.

Cheers

You could probably find all the necessary pieces. This could be costly over the long run. However if you have a tractor salvage in your area, you might be able to come up with a reasonable group of parts.
You are generally going to need power steering if you are adding a loader. Good luck, remember to post pictures when you start. KennyV.
PS. Hope you are far from the fires ravaging your countryside.

What are the specs of your current pump?

What are the specs of your current pump?

I really don't know, is it stamped on the pump somewhere? What would be a typical size for a 22hp Kubota?

I have also been looking at the self contained power steering add on cylinders like

This appears to be a reasonably simple conversion, that needs 1.5-3gpm to drive it. I gan get that from the existing pump via a priority valve or from a seperate small car PS pump if I can fit one in.

I am a little concerned about using the onboard pump as I also need it for my FEL. At the moment it is only driving the 3PL.

I found out the pump is the same on all these models

KU50650 L275, L1802, L2002, L2202, L2402

Replaces part numbers38240-36100, 38240-76100
4 bolt fixing pump can be used to replace 2 bolt fixing pump.

Hopefully I should be able to find the specs on the L275 as that was not a grey market import.

What appplication is the self contained power steering cylinder from? Or who sells it and how much? It looks like a great unit to add to a tractor.
