I bought my ZD25 with a Hi Run tire on one side and a Carlisle Turfmaster on the other, both 24x12-12. The Hi Run traction SUCKS. The Carlisle is pretty good, but since I have been browsing here I see that some people like the Carlisle WT300, a BX industrial tire. I like that idea but have found that the WT300 is most closely offered as a 26x12-12. This means I'd lift the mower by an inch and have an inch less fender clearance.
I am wondering of anyone else has put these larger tire on an older ZD series mower and how it worked out. I would assume the deck would have to be re-leveled, but were there any other issues you ran into with the larger tires?

Thanks,
Chris

I have a ZD21 with 23x10-12 and an extra set of 26x12-12 for my BX, I ran the BX tires and wheels on the ZD only once and they cleared ok, but I took them off rather than relevel the deck. It wouldn't be hard to get the deck level with the 26s, just have to lower the rear of the deck.

Thanks for the info. I have ordered the WT300's and will re-level the deck. I think it could use it anyway.
