Was wondering if I am able to get a bigger turbo on my Kubota M135X? Just want to know if I could get more power.
jonyyuma said:You might be able to raise the boost pressure, on the present turbo unit, especially if it has a waste gate installed.. Most turbos are set low enough for good power, but not high enough to cause serious engine damage..Check out how it was designed...Some have a pressure switch installed in the manifold to cut the circuit..

My wife's mechanic said he turn the 5140 with a 5.9L Cummins up to 200HP but the rest of the tractor wouldn't be able to handle it and it would be light for 200HP tractor. The IH 686 with an M&W aftermarket turbo is 66HP @ the PTO stock but with the turbo on it it's been dynoed at 106HP and it handles the extra power just fine. FIL used to pull a 2 row NH Silage/Forage Cutter with it and it handled it fine.
BTW: The new M135GX coming out soon looks nice, love the cab.
