Biggest used 4wd tractor for $12k?

Hi Guys,

I pruned all of the posts from this thread that had links to eBay in them. Just as I feared, once we got one eBay link, dozens more popped up.

We DO NOT ALLOW LINKS TO EBAY auctions. The main reason is is the very high rates of fraud on eBay, especially with multi-thousand dollar auctions on items like compact tractors.

Please understand our position. Talk up pricing all you want. But no links to eBay or any other classified or auction sites. Tell someone in a PM to go find it, but we cannot allow this to get out of hand, which it already has in just a couple of days.

Moderators will delete any thread with links to off-TBN auctions of sales.

Even a coded link that will not hot link? Just curious. I don't even look at Flea-Bay.

I know he said biggest, but some of you got carried away. I suspect that the real need here is a 4wd tractor with a loader and power steering. In this price range, something could be found with patience and perseverance in the 20 to 30 hp range. I'd do searches in the various places (dare I name them?) for a Kubota, Deere or New Holland which would serve GDIT's needs. Also, local dealers may have a solution for him.

Thanks for all the replies. It'll take me a bit to sort through them. I don't have specific requirements yet as we aren't sure how much land we are going to clear and what animals we want to raise on it. I just know my little B7100 can't do what I need.

I also know I'd love to have a cab and an FEL. I'm tired of wrenching, so the newer the better. I'd like at least 35 hp + or -. I also want to stick with what dealers within 40 miles sell.

How about a nice B2710/2910 with FEL? You can get a good used one of them for $12K. Or, as someone already suggested, a heavier L series

I could pick up a L3400 with FEL new for just over $ 15,000, so you could likely find one a couple of years old with a few hours on it for $ 12,000. Lot of tractor for the money.

I just sold my M4700 for $16,000. (needed to sell quick) I know that is above your price range, but the thought of selling it for so low is wrong!. (50 HP 4WD and Loader, 266 hours)

I'll keep the B7100 for sure. Nice old tractor. Very useful small tool. I'm leaning towards a TLB for more construction applications instead of ag applications. May have to increase my budget
