G'day everyone, I have an old grey fergie that has seen better days but so far it has done everything I have asked of it, except I have tried to convert from 6v to 12v and I have problems
The new alternator was installed by someone who said they knew what do do

I noticed that the amp. meter did not show a charge and I now know that the alternator has been cooked completely.

What I need to know is, because of the positive earth wiring of the tractor.what is the correct wiring Re. starter etc. Should I change solinoid and starter etc as the alternater is connected. I hope to have another alt. to fit in the near future

Welcome to the forum!

Positive ground system using a negative ground alternator, or did you find a positve ground alternator? From what very little I know, I think it shouldn't be a big deal either way.
