Biodiesel

(sniff, sniff) My exhaust smells funny. That's the only difference I can tell running bio in my 2210. I was experimenting with Wesson cooking oil when fuel prices started climbing mixed up to 20% cooking oil in road diesel. I have since found a source for off-road bio diesel. Again, my smoke smells funny, that's all. Minnesota tried to push for 20% bio but recently passed mandatory 2% blend.

Interesting. I just stopped by my local Exxon station, diesel is selling for 3.01 9/10 per gallon (in case you needed clarification) Anyone interested in a 93 F250 diesel, I think it's time to sell. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

RaT-

I just came back from my local station after filling up my diesel can with $2.79/gallon diesel and was P.O.ed. After reading your post I don't feel so bad. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Over 3 bucks/gallon for diesel? I knew the day would come, but not so soon.

How many gallons does your F250 hold? We have an E350 van that gets about 18 miles/gallon but costs a fortune to fill up.

Hang in there,

Bonehead

The price jumped because a refinery down in Southern California had a fire and eliminated it's diesel capacity. Diesel will never again be below $2.50/gal around here in my opinion. At about 38 gallons in my truck, I'm looking at $90 - $120/fillup or about 400 to 450 miles for the two tanks. Oh well, it's time for me to downsize anyway. I don't need a full size truck anymore. When I do, I will borrow my neighbors. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
