Hey All,
We've got 2 dogs that live outside. One is about 40 lbs. and the other is about 65 lbs. During the winter months they go through about twice as much food as they do in the summer. I fully expected this but the other morning I figured out what part of the reason is. There were at least 30 birds eating their dog food in their kennal. I've decided to start feeding only in the evening so they have a chance to eat before the birds get it all.
I've thought about making a bird proof dog bowl but I don't know if it's worth the trouble or not. Has anyone else run into this problem? We've got some of the healthiest fattest birds around!
