It appears that many are wanting the blades to continue to be engaged when going in reverse. Well, my 1517 not longer disegages the blade in reverse but will disengage when I go fast. I don't mind the cut-off going in reverse. I just want to be able to cut the grass without going snail speed.

It's not the seat cut-off. I was told it might be the PTO switch but more likely the reverse cut-off.

I would appreciate any thoughts and direction. Where is the reverse cut-off? Is there something there I can check?

Thanks!

Cisco, you didn't say why your tractor no longer disengages the blade in reverse. Did you modify it? The switch should be located near the reverse pedal linkage underneath the tractor. The switch may be bouncing or I would still suspect the seat switch could cause it if the ground is rough enough to bounce the seat.

Bob, thanks for the reply. I did not modify my mower.

I did found the problem, there is a yellow and a green wire under and toward the back of the mower. The yellow wire appears to have been pulled loose. I am not sure how I am going to reconnect it but I was able to mow without problem tonight. Maybe I am okay as long as it does not touch metal?
