Wish I had one of those, I see alot of people that commercial mow use similar machines. Around here, they seem to command high dollar used.
My drive-over deck allows me to take the deck off in minutes. Then, I lift it with the loader to hang it in the air while I scrape the deck and sharpen blades. This is a spring job for me, but since I started using Meg-Mow blades, I haven't had a need to sharpen. There are four blades, yes four, per spindle.

There is a price structure in the link. Looks like for a 52" mower the price would be $239 plus shipping. Personally I can do a lot of removing and sharpening for the price difference. 3 blades for my mower cost about $55 so I can buy 5 sets for the cost of one set of those. I cant see them staying any sharper for me since my biggest item to dull the blades are crawfish mounds and rocks. Even replacing the blades is not cheap at $8each x 4 per spindle + shipping $15 IIRC, so that would be $47 per spindle x 3 = 141 for each blade swap out. WAY too much for me and my tight wallet. That blade system looks interesting. What made you switch to it. And do you mine giving us a hint what you payed?
My BX2230 has a 54", 3 blade deck. When reinstalling the new blades, should they be positioned a certain way? There is a price structure in the link. I bought 2 sets of blades with my mower 3 years ago. I just discarded one set last week and still use the other as a spare. Last fall I bought a new set and just put them on today. Generally I use my FEL to raise the mower up, take my impact gun, remove the dull blade and put the sharp one on. From start to finish including scraping out the underside of the mower deck is less than 15 minutes including the time it takes me to get my B26 out and positioned to raise the mower. I bolted on a piece of 3/8" chain to the front of the mower to hook my lift chain onto. It makes quick and safe attachment to the mower.
Thanks!Nope, just put 'em on like the old ones came off.....i.e. with the bent (curved) tips up.
