It is not necessary to Time or synchronize blades except on those mowers with a cogged belt or pulleys with splines, such as the older Troybuilt 32 in mowers.
A regular belt will slip some under high torque, or if you hit something.
Years ago I had a deck that was gear driven, It was powered by a belt from the engine, but the blades were gear driven.
