have a bobcat 753 put in a block heater and it leaks what can I do next?

Drain coolant. Remove block heater. check for pinched, broken seals/rough edges. Repair and replace insuring it is tightened to proper specifications.:D

would it be wise to put RVT seal on it prior to fitting it

I use Loctite 515 gasket eliminator to seal/lubricate block heater o-rings. It's kind of an odd use for that product, but I have NEVER had one leak, and some have been installed for 10 years. Making sure the block bore is absolutely clean and smooth is a requirement.

Tired the gasket elimintor and it worked great. All put back together and back to pushing snow again.:)
