JD specs a 47 inch blower for the 2520 but it's 51 inches wide with standard tires. Not very productive if the machine is wider then the blower?
Does anyone know how big a curtis blade this unit will handle on the FEL?
Thanks Mike

Very disappointing /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. I thought this was going to be my next tractor, but I need a snowblower. We get around 200" every year and if you are using only a blade, you have to have heavy equipment come in and move the banks back. My search for the ultimate tractor continues.

I doubt that those 2 inches per side will make much difference. And, if somebody was to look, I'd bet that the 4115 had a similar tire width as the new 2520. I never heard much complaining from that setup.. most people thought it worked very well.

The 4115 is narrower! So of coarse they wouldn't complain. The snow drift's real good here: I don't want to be driving in the snowbank where the blower can't get to in mid-season.
And I really Don't want to drive on costumers plants and bushes that are right on the edge of the driveway either.
I guess I will get a wider blower from some other company to fit this unit!

2" on each side of the tractor makes quite a bit of difference, especially when we get 2-3 feet of snow at a time. I cannot expect to clear a path with the tires plowing through the snow. Poor planning on Deere's part. IMO.

But, really, that only matters on the first pass, where you are taking the full cut. After that, a full cut would leave way too much spillover back into the clean side. So, with 2 inches on only one side of the blower for the majority of the time, is it really that much of a problem?
(my 445 has the tires in the wide position, and I think that puts me wider than my blower)

I have may properties to look after and can't imagine driving over the snowbanks where the blower doesn't reach, let alone the spillage.

Your right, the first pass will be the worst, the next pass you take will have at least 2" of riding in the snow. There is no offset to the blower so it rides in the middle. To me it makes a difference and for now I will stick with one the covers the tracks.
