Chipper Blower for bearcat 5" chipper

I recently bought a used Woods/ Bearcat 5000 chipper/shredder in mint condition and wanted to know if anyone has found a place to get a fair price for the #70487 blower attachment. I can't see paying $1000. for an accessory to a machine I paid $850. for.
Also, does anyone have a history with this machine on how well the blower works?

Wow that was a deal, if in great condition even $1850 would be a good price for just the chipper... if you really want the blower for that price just buy it.

You make a valid point and yes, and I did get a great deal on an almost brand new machine. It's just the principal of them charging such a ridicules price to fix a piss poor design flaw.
