There's aBobcat attchment for sale locally. It's a 907 backhoe with a 7' digging depth. I cannot find any specifications on this unit about it's weight. It's ana vailable attachment for the older 6 series bobcats with an operating weight around 3400lbs. A little bit of research says it has a digging force of 2000lbs. which would place it similar to the 506 model offered today.

Backhoe Attachment Specifications - Bobcat Company

It would also make it comparable to the BH65. With fabrication of a subframe and some additonal fabrication on the unit, do you think it's too much hoe for my tractor?

I've got a 709, its a pretty beefy unit, I would guess the 907 weight would be closer to the 607, maybe a little lighter, but no where as light as the 506.

After looking at the Bobcat spec again, the 506 has no hydraulic stabilizers, those will add quite a bit of weight to the attachment.

Do you know if that hoe is set up for high flow or not? If it is I assume you would not have the hydro. flow to run it.

Doesn't take much flow to run one, my 743 is 12gpm @1200 psi and you set the throttle at about 1/2.

My Kubota B3200 has about 6.5GPM from the tractor hydraulics if I remember the specs correctly - the B2320 probably has less than that.

I remember seeing the weight of the Kubota BH77 backhoe on my B3200 as being spec'ed at 850 pounds or so with a 7.5ft digging depth.

I'm pretty sure that the B2320 takes the next size down (6.5ft depth) when installing a Kubota backhoe on it.

So technically speaking: yeah, you're probably installing a backhoe bigger than Kubota would have spec'ed for that tractor if you put the 907 on the B2320.

Technically speaking though - I don't think it's impossible. If it was me - I would first work on some sort of mounting system similar to the 4pt system that Kubota uses on recent tractors. You might even be able to just go out and buy the Kubota backhoe mounting kit for the B2320 and use that as the basis for the mount for the 907. Then you'd just have to figure how how to adapt the 907 to the Kubota mount setup.

You might find you need a separate hydraulic pump on the PTO to drive the backhoe if the tractor hydraulics are inadequate.

Mount the hoe as close into the tracto as possible so that all that weight is not hanging way off the back. Use a spin around seat like Kubota does when you get the backhoe option instead of a 2nd seat (eliminates some weight and allows you to get the hoe closer into the tractor).

I'd like to see pics if you make this work.

I just bought a mini excavator so the subframe mounted backhoe, an Agco Sh19C, on my 44 hp tractor isn't being used. I was thinking about adapting it for skid steer use but maybe we should work a trade?

The 907 weighs 1075# without a bucket. The 600 model Bobcats had 9.5 GPM flow. Hope this helps to give you a starting point.

Will work only slower
