I just had the good fortune to operate one of these new skidsteers and the only word comes to mind is AWESOME. The 4 wheel steering is just what the landscaping industry had been needing. I was quoted $39,900 for an enclosed cab w/heat an A/C, 4in1 bucket and pallet forks. I don't want to get caught up in the moment and purchase w/out having a couple of days to think on it but it does seem to good to pass up.

Before you buy it try to dig with it, they have no digging power

Seems he's gonna have *** with it, and maybe doesn't care if it digs as well. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I have operated an A-220 and noticed no problems w/digging. I saw no issues w/hydraulic pressures as opposed to other units in the Bobcat line up when compared #'s to #'s. Are you referring to losing forward power upon entry to a dirt pile or FEL loss? /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

The boom functions are fine, its the forward power that leaves very quick, the ones I've been on would spin the tires about twice and stall and I wouldn't have nearly a bucket full of dirt, A220&300, I'm sure it has to do with the AWS feature as they dont wanna break anything.

I went back and shoved that A-300 in some dirt that would stall anything on wheels and it had no problem in turning the tires? I tried this to the point of the salesman asking, "what was I doing". I couldn't simiulate the problem you spoke of gatractorman. What kind of skid steer do you prefer out of curosity?

Ok, mabye it was me I tried 2 A220's and 1 A300 and they all acted the same to me couldn't get them to get a bucket of dirt to save my life without 2 or 3 tries, I prefer a Bobcat, used to work at a dealership as a mechanic till last Friday, self-employed now.

Hi, Beebop:
I am waiting on one to show up at the local dealer. I tried out the A-220 last winter, liked it but without a cab & heat, the demo was really tough, and I did not do much serious digging.

Would the tires affect the pile-stabbing ability? You can get it with turf tires, which would compromise traction, though stalling is stalling.

Also, does anyone know if the A-300 comes with high flow hydraulics as a normal option? I don't see it on the Bobcat www site as an option in the specs, as I did on the A-220. The salesman has not gotten back to me on it yet.

I am attaching a picture I snapped at a NC dealer last month.

One more pic--note the heavy rear axis bar for the loader in one of them. This machine is a straight line lifter, unlike the A-220.
