Bobcat and CK Kioti series are basicly the same.

The LS company of S Korea is also a Doosan infraco company. Not too much left in S Korea that Doosan don't have there hands in.

I spent a lot of time trying to decide between LS and Kioti. I liked both equally and it was a hard/agonizing decision as each brand had design points I favored the other did not have. I decided on Kioti due to the 3PH manual lift control lever at the rear for easier attachment hookup and the operator's station fit my style better. But it was a difficult decision compounded by the LS dealer's location being only 45 minutes away vs. the Kioti's dealer being closer to three hours away.

Either way, good manufacturers with good products for very reasonable prices.

Its called Doosan infracor. acquired DMW (Daedong) along with many other companies in the early 2000s.

News to me.
I have no idea where you are getting your information, but I would need to see a link.
I can find nowhere that Doosan ever acquired or has anything to do with LS or Daedong.

That is what I thought too. Of course I am not privy to what Korean conglomerate owns what percentage in what Korean company.

Kubota stood firm, applying only they sold their tractors. Doosan threatened possibly no longer using their engines in their skid steers. Kubota responded that perhaps they'd build a skid steer.

In 2012, Doosan Infracore completed the construction of a compact diesel engine factory on a 14,000㎡ site in Hwasu-dong, Incheon, which can manufacture 100,000 engines of three types (1.8L, 2.4L and 3.4L) a year. Tier 4 Final compact engines from the plant are also mounted in Bobcat compact equipment.

The 1.8L in my Kioti seems to use a Doosan engine management system. I cannot find the dongle I need to plug diagnostic software in Kioti tractors but it would be nice if I could talk to the computer because then I could do all of my own work.

I owned a Bobcat tractor and my understanding was that bobcat upgraded the wiring on the machines as well as supplied the loader and I believe the cab if I remember correctly. I suspect things like mechanical parts and things like filters are the same. I believe the Kioti has draft control on the 3 point which the Bobcat does not.

Many Bobcat dealers did not participate in the tractor sales and therefore will not service the tractors. The ones that do are few and far between in some areas. I had to drive mine 4 hours to find a dealer willing to do warranty work. That being said Bobcat of the Rockies treated me extremely well and took care of the problem under warranty, Mike KEtchum is the service manager in Windsor and he was great to work with. The place where I bought mine 15 minutes away got sold to a dealer who did not continue carrying Bobcat. I sold it after having such an ordeal getting service done out of state.

They seem to be holding thier value alright but I would certainly make sure you had a long term plan for service and parts if you are buying one.

I guess I am lucky having a Bobcat construction dealer in town to do the service. They will work on my tractor. While they lost their compact tractor trained person (he was not the best) the new kid is smart. He had no problem adding my hydraulics (even the Kioti one) and even gave the unit a good going over - found a few minor things (wire chafing) that could have become major. His attitude is he only wants to fix it once for a fair price, wanting me to come back for general service which I plan to do. I have enough trouble crawling under to grease everything.:confused3::laughing:

He indicated everything is pretty standard and works the same as bobcat or other brand products. He is also aware of the Kioti parts match, but so far Bobcat is keeping parts in stock and easily available. Only problem is he came from deep south Texas so I have to listen carefully. Good thing is he has a lot of friends in the Bobcat network that he can call for advice.:thumbsup:

I checked with my local Bobcat center before I bought my Bobcat. I was given assurance that they would honor the warranty, and take care of the tractor. They've been very good to work with. Not super cheap ($$). I imagine they are priced similar to other local tractor dealers. (Except Kubota, I'm pretty sure they are higher.) (Just kidding)
I've only put 100 hours on it in two years though. I thought I'd mow more, but I do 90% of my mowing with a craftsman 50" lawn tractor.

Hey guys I am looking at buying a 2007 bobcat CT120 with snow blower and 430hrs up here in Canada for 10,290.00 all in out door. It is in mint shape my even a chip on it and the snow blower is new never been used. What you guy think? Biggest thing is I want to add a front end loader and I am having issues making sure there is a front end loader that will work for sure and what that model is?
